Sevilla vs. Barcelona – Match prediction, lineups

In what could be Xavi’s last game as head coach, Barcelona conclude the 2023-24 La Liga season against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday night.

Barcelona has already secured second place, while Sevilla will remain in the bottom half. Sevilla will have Boubakri Soumare back from suspension but face fitness problems along with several key players. Jesús Navas, Lucas Ocampos and Marcos Acuna missed some training sessions during the week.

Ocampos (illness) and Acuña (caution) are expected to play, but Navas and Suso could be out due to muscle fatigue. Additionally, Oliver Torres (shoulder), Isak Romero (hamstring), Djibril Sove (foot), Erik Lamela (knee) and Nemanja Gudelj (knee) are all sidelined.

Navas, who recently signed a life contract but will leave the club at the end of the season, could be replaced by Juanlu Sanchez if he is unfit. Meanwhile, veteran Sergio Ramos remains a key player for Sevilla at the age of 38.

For Barcelona, there is no new fitness update. Alejandro Balde (hamstring), Gavi (ACL) and Frenkie de Jong (ankle) are unavailable. A few lineup changes are possible, with Iñaki Pena potentially starting in goal over Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who can no longer catch Athletic’s Unai Simeone for the clean sheet title.

Andreas Christensen could replace Sergi Roberto in defensive midfield, as he did at half-time against Vallecano. Furthermore, Pedri’s two goals from the bench in the previous game could give him the starting spot over Fermín López.
Sevilla possible XI lineup:
Nyland; Salas, Bade, Ramos; Sanchez, Soumare, Agoume, Acuna; Lukebakio, En-Nesyri, Ocampos
Barcelona possible XI lineup:
Pena; Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Cancelo; Pedri, Christensen, Gundogan; Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha
